I was at the senior centre some weeks ago. I was speaking with a well travelled gentleperson. Xhe and I were comparing European nations. I've never been to Finland, and xhe mentioned that they have a well managed system to address homelessness. I said that the Netherlands does also. I mentioned I had hitchhiked from the Netherlands to Düsseldorf, just a few hours drive. Suddenly thrust into the belly of a beast some think is the powerhouse of Europe. The station was filthy. Loiterers were rampant, and folks with mental health and drug issues littered the streets.
Why would one wish to be a citizen of a 'powerful' state instead of a less populous state? I suppose they win more Olympic medals. More photo opportunities for people to boo your vice president. Germans, Japanese, and Americans, for example, have more to show. They have less to prove. Their population is more throroughly brainwashed. Life is not 'better' for citizens of more populous states. Their propaganda is.
