You don't know what AI does, and most importantly, doesn't do. Right now, if they wanted to, they can make you forget your name. They could make anyone, ANYONE, a mass murderer. They aren't, unless doing so benefits them.
Since I wrote the sheep stampede article about a half dozen species have begun running down bike paths in front of me, staying for suspiciously long durations on trail instead of veering off. Most in groups, some alone. The animals, including a cat, consistently run away from me. Until now.

. The deer, very purposefully and in a straight line, is sprinting fast, no fear, at me. I'm coasting fast towards the seashore. Before I can brake, the deer leaps. Into my face. Hard deer. Deer smashes into my mouth, causing a mess of bleeding lip, and lands hard on my right shoulder before merrily galloping away. I go over handlebars. Lying face up

Soon after I was briefed that the deer had been directed to kiss me.
Fearing Ai is fear of oneself. What one would do, could do. Vigilance is not just a hindrance. We are destroying this planet. We have not even BEGUN to turn the corner on climate change. We WILL trash this planet, and probably the next, and the one after that. Trust in humanity? More than Ai? You don't appreciate your lack of choice. You are blinded by your fear. Ai is here. Ai will increase. You can go kicking and screaming or you can use AI to help you help the deers.
